Main Jobs:
·Maintained website beginning in January
·Designed and produced: T-shirt (front and back including replicating logos), posters, 2 large banners for LG displays, spectator brochures
·Constructed and installed stand-up displays for Crossroads Bicycles and Chamber of Commerce windows - (involved collecting photos of past CH races)
·Procured volunteers' lunches from LG restaurants
·Passed out posters in Los Gatos
·Collected primes, processed primes for announcer and prize distributors (spreadsheet, 4x6 cards)
·Take follow-up thank-you letters and Tshirts to LG donors and Weekly editor.
What went well: All went well except passing out posters in Los Gatos and collecting primes. I feel I didn't do a thorough job in either of those areas.
How to make job better: I'd like to pass off Prime Collection to another person or persons. (I would still organize primes during the week prior to the race, starting when a new prime collector gives me a spreadsheet with primes listed.) I'd also like to have assistance in passing out posters in LG.
Next Year? I would still do all the web and graphics jobs. Perhaps someone could take over collecting primes.
Other comment: Though it was disheartening in the days before the race to see the number of unfilled marshal jobs increase, it was WONDERFUL on race day to have so many first-timers take hold and fill in to cover for those who didn't show up.
