What went well: Very easy to check in and organized. Radio communication was good, except for trouble hearing due to the 2 gigantic speakers pumping out music 10 feet away.
How to make job better: More water and food - I worked the corner for 5 hours in the sun and was brought water once. Redirect the speaker system so we can hear, or provide ear pieces..racer/spectator safety is more important than cool music.
Sandbag the barricade system set up at the nicholson corner - continually blew over in high wind.
Next Year? Yes.
Other comments: Don't do pictures that day or that early - sucks having to get up for a 6:30am shoot the day of a 9:30am race...
Overall, this a great day of racing and watching racing. my entire family came out for the first time and commented on how organized and fun it was. Not sure what happened to the pro field size and spectators...seemed to be a lot fewer than last year....maybe additional advertising or larger sponsor prizes????? not sure on this one
