Topic: Lunch Pickup/Course Marshall Fill-in
What went well: Instructions for lunch pickup were fine. Went smoothly with Whole Foods who made the donations. Nice day.
How to make job better: I wasn't assigned to course marshall duty but helped volunteer coordinator with jobs that had no shows....mostly course marshall. Ended up floating around the course for several people that worked the morning course marshall shift, but who's afternoon relief didn't show up. Covered for about four different volunteers who's shift was over. Seems some corners had more course marshall's than necessary and could have been reallocated to those spots where the marshalls were no-shows.
Have a course floater available for the volunteer coordinator to make rounds on the course and report back what's happening (i.e. missing course marshall's, too many marshall's on one corner, etc.)
Next Year? I enjoyed being one of the course marshalls.
